Welcome back for another special post in my Love Live! Birthday Girls series. This month I’ve got a very special post for μ’s member Nico Yazawa!

As of today, July 22nd (yes I know it’s not the 22nd in Japan anymore, but it is in Canada so yeah, deal with it) it’s the birthday of the Idol Research Club’s president Nico-chan. So like pretty much every character in Love Live, I really like them, but I like Nico mostly because of the Maki x Nico pairing. Yeah we all ship those two.

If I didn’t like Nico though, I’d have to change that view point after season 2. Episode 4 had Nico take center stage as we learn about her home life and her younger siblings too; as if that wasn’t an amazing enough ep, we’re treated to seeing Nico’s mom in the finale too! Yeah Nico’s mom is pretty hot, just putting that out there.

Like I’ve said before, season 2 really built on the foundation of what we already knew about the characters, and the character ep (Nico, Rin and Nozomi) were something really needed to add the depth to the group and just expand our knowledge some more. While I’d have liked for there to be a Maki ep, I’m still pleased with the eps were did get.

So looking back at Nico’s character I really do love her and even more so when she’s with Maki. Alright then, enough with my thoughts about her, lets enjoy some nice pics to celebrate!
